What you’ll do
Manage the technical development of the components of our laser radiation sources to bring them to a commercially viable product
Lead product development projects from conception to market launch, including scheduling, budgeting and requirements management
Coordinate the establishment of a production system to move from single prototypes to high volume manufacturing
Work with other team members to develop the sub-components towards a product, taking into account specifications, costs and market requirements, to develop a complete system
Conduct feasibility studies and risk analysis for new product concepts
Work with sales and marketing to analyze market trends and customer needs to generate new product ideas and improvements
Oversee and coordinate production, including quality assurance and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Develop supply chains and expedite production processes
Maintain technical documentation, create product manuals and conduct training
Who you are
Degree in engineering, physics or a related field
Experience in the development of complex technological products as a product development engineer, product engineer or comparable position (7+ years)
Experience in project management (5+ years)
Experience in the use of modeling, modeling and simulation tools to optimize product designs (3+ years)
Communication skills to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams
Fluency in German and English
Experience with managing supply chains and scaling up a production (5+ years)
Preferably experience in developing large systems, microfluidics, laser technology, vacuum technology or nuclear technology
