About the Role
As Industry Expert, you will be working with our Industry Director of Aerospace to help define and promote our Aerospace Solutions portfolio and deliver innovative industry solutions to our customers. You are an experienced specialist in industry-specific model-based design processes and solutions. You are deeply familiar with the sector, will use your knowledge and network to support sales of relevant solution services by defining project proposals, understand Modelon’s product and solution portfolio to guide customers in their decision process and will have regular interaction/familiarity with global key customers, Modelon partners, and Modelon competitors.
This position is announced within the Aerospace Industry Team. The Aerospace Industry Team is a global team working with a wide range of applications, from conventional thermal management, actuation, fuel systems to hybrid electric propulsion, liquid hydrogen storage/distribution and fuel cells. The aerospace sector is experiencing massive changes; model-based solutions are essential to support the required innovations toward sustainability and climate goals.
What you will do
Sales & marketing
You will support commercial success in your sector through solution services sales and marketing activities. You will actively support the business development team with pre-sales and sales via direct client engagements, joining the Industry Director to demonstrate our expertise and capabilities. You will have to support the creation of content for marketing material (digital and print), and deliver webinars, seminars, and presentations at industry events.
Services operation
You will ensure the success of the delivery of services by monitoring or leading services projects. You will be the technical author of project proposals for our industry customers. You will manage the business relationship with selected customers. During project execution, you will engage with the customer through technical expertise to create follow-up sales of products and services.
Product Vision and Development
Together with the Industry Team and Product Leaders, you will use your insights ininto customer demand and support the Industry Director in the definition of a product roadmap that results in commercial success. You will support and/or directly engage in product development activities and in bringing in early user feedback as meaningful.
What You Will Bring
- MSc., Ph.D. or equivalent degree in engineering, physics, or mathematics with a focus on aerospace applications.
- Aerospace industry experience
- 3-7 years of working experience with system modeling and simulation in the aerospace industry
- Object-oriented modeling and simulation (e.g., Modelica, Modelon Impact, Dymola, Amesim, NPSS, Simscape).
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Experience with customer interaction
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Python is meritorious
